ASK THE HERBALIST:
Q. Why Lanolin-free?
A. Lanolin is derived from sheep’s skin and is often used in products as a moisture barrier. For some, concerns over trace pesticides and antibiotic residue come into play. Also of concern, are those who have wool sensitive allergies. Substance provides a nipple cream that alleviates such concerns, by using only plant derived edible and safe ingredients.
BENEFITS:
Lanolin-free, Petroleum- free, and Vegan-friendly
Safe for baby, using only plant based, edible ingredients
Does not need to be removed prior to breastfeeding
Forms a protective barrier to protect against wetness, and chapping
Healing, our herbal formula helps regenerate skin, and speed healing
Winter is here and the grandkids always have chapped lips during the winter months. We’ve used the nipple cream for years to clear up lip dryness. That this soothing cream is designed to be safe enough for nursing babies lets us rest easy using it on their lips.

hydrating
Super hydrating and also helped baby's chapped lips from nursing. I love that it is worry-free if baby ingests it.

This balm is certainly multipurpose
I’m Grandma-aged, not Mama-aged, and have struggled for some months now with eczema and cracked, peeling skin on my right thumb and index finger. As a knitter, quilter and gardener, that was a serious problem. Steady use of the Nipple Creme over the past several weeks has brought me great relief, and for that I’m amazed and grateful.
