A natural nappy ointment that forms a soothing protective barrier against wetness. Our zinc-free diaper cream has an emolient shea butter-enriched base that pampers with a special blend of herbs traditionally used by herbalists to nourish and protect baby’s delicate skin. This nourishing ointment can also ease any diaper rash discomfort and other irritated skin conditions like baby eczema.

Marshmallow Root: Anti-inflammatory, emolient, demulcent. Soothes skin irritation and supports the skin barrier.
Myrrh Powder: Antibacterial, antimicrobial, astringent, vulnerary (healing). Promotes skin regeneration and reduces inflammation.
Roman Chamomile Essential Oil: Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, vulnerary (healing). Reduces redness, calms sensitive skin and aids in wound healing.
Shea Butter: A natural humectant. Highly moisturizing and offers mild sun protection.

Why should I be concerned about a Petroleum based product?
A.
Petroleum and mineral oil are found in most commercial creams including commercial diaper ointments. They are by-products of the petroleum industry and are not derived from natural sources.
They have a tendency to dissolve the skin's own natural oils and thereby increase dehydration and clogging the pores. It does not allow oxygen to penetrate into the skin trapping toxins, and not allowing them to escape. Oxygenation is an essential element in helping to promote healing of the skin.

Just one application of the Matter Company's gentle Nappy Ointment takes care of the start of a diaper rash. All of my nine grand-children have benefitted from the use of Nappy OIntment. If they could have talked at the time of application, they all would have sworn by it. Three of them are still in diapers and still enjoying rash-free skin. Too bad it wasn't around when their parents were babies. It's great for any healing any kind of rash really. I always keep a couple of jars on hand in case one of them runs out.
I’ve tried many many other ointments this is by far the softest and smoothest and most comfortable one for our boy since birth. I have 10 stocked in the nursery !
A friend recommended this for diaper rash - very effective
This ointment is amazing. We heard such horror stories about diaper rashes when our first child was born. She Anhad acute eczema and so we were very worried. But this ointment was amazing. In her two years of wearing diapers she never had a rash or any issues. Using with our second child now and it’s working great.
I really love this diaper cream...my 1 year old has sensitive skin and mild eczema. This cream is gentle on her and works so well. Highly recommend. Wish it came in a smaller travel size too :)
